On the 14th of December 2005 , Slough Race Equality Council hosted the South East regional meeting for the Connecting Communities project. Topics on the agenda included:

• An excellent presentation (Working with Chinese Communities in the UK) by Helena from Brighton & Hove Citizen's Advice Bureau
• Participatory break-out sessions on issues such as community outreach & involvement and individual / community support and training
• Exit strategies and next steps for Connecting Communities projects
• Update from GOSE on financial issues and final reports
