Your time and skills can provide an invaluable contribution towards helping ImagineDiversity.com achieve its aim to become a website dedicated to the people. Your contribution can be as little as sending us an email expressing your interest in a particular topic related to equality and diversity, to more substantial involvment in actually sending articles and/or photos for publication.

Why volunteer? Because it's a unique experience that will allow you to gain invaluable skills and knowledge about the community of Slough, about voluntary sector organisations, about cultural diversity and much more. Should you wish to, you can also gain exclusive insight into how this website is being built. Are you a budding journalist? Volunteering for ImagineDiversity.com can help. Are you a fledging outreach worker or social worker? Volunteering for ImagineDiversity.com can help as well. Are you doing research in statistics, anthropology or are you undergoing legal training? The possibilities are endless. Come talk to us!

Here are a range of volunteering opportunities that you may be interested in:

Community Directory

We are in the process of developing a Community Directory of projects, groups and organisations that provide services on a not-for-profit basis to the people living in Slough. This Directory will enable people to quickly and effectively find groups / organisations in their local area that provide services they need. To develop this section however, we need your help in contacting those groups / organisations and obtaining the details needed to build their profiles.

Community

This section is dedicated to raising cultural awareness and setting up a space where the diverse communities of Slough can introduce themselves (talk about their culture, background, traditions, language, religion). If you would like your community to be featured there for everyone to get to know, or would like to go out and meet with members of different communities and prepare material for this website, please contact us.

There is much more to volunteering for ImagineDiversity.com than this, but it all depends on what you would like to do. So the best thing is to get in touch with us so that we can discuss how you can make a difference!
