Link to About us
We are all different, we are all unique, but all of us are human. Every individual is valuable and although there is discrimination and inequality in the world we live in, we should always fight it. Our diversity as a human race is one of our greatest strengths, and this site is dedicated to celebrating it, understanding it and embracing it.

So what is ImagineDiversity.com? The answer is simple: it is a website about people, by people. Unique people, with different backgrounds, traditions, creeds and skin colour. It is a website whose aim is to celebrate diversity, focus on equality issues and introduce you to vast amounts of resources. We would like it to be a free interactive online learning and training tool, hosting links, understanding and practical skills regarding equality and diversity issues.

As this is at the moment "work in progress", during the following weeks content will be regularly added to this website, so be sure to come back soon! View: About us

Hasta la revolucion!
Hasta la revolucion!
Hasta la revolucion!
There’s a quiet revolution taking place; it doesn’t involve a radical manifesto or a bunch of fuming townies armed with pitchforks. No, this revolution is more about changing the way local people look at local problems, and giving them the tools to literally SEE how to make big changes. View: Hasta la revolucion!

What is the Equality Act and who does it apply to?
  • The Act brings together for the first time all the legal requirements on equality that the private, public and voluntary sectors need to follow.
  • It affects equality law at work and in delivering all sorts of services and running clubs.
  • It replaces all the existing equality law including:
    • The Equal Pay Act 1970
    • The Sex Discrimination Act 1975
    • The Race Relations Act 1976
    • The Disability Discrimination Act 1995
  • Most of the new law is based on current legislation which has been streamlined but there are some important differences
